InstaFilter uses your camera to apply real-time filters and AR effects. On supported devices, we use Apple's TrueDepth camera and ARKit Face Tracking to detect facial geometry.
The app accesses real-time 3D facial geometry, eye positions, and facial movement data (blend shapes) solely to position and render AR filter effects on the live camera view.
Face data is processed entirely on your device in real time — only for rendering filter effects during your active camera session.
Face data is never stored, saved to disk, or transmitted off your device. It is never shared with any third party. All processing occurs in memory and is discarded when the camera session ends.
We automatically collect usage data when you use the app — including device type, OS version, features accessed, session duration, and crash diagnostics. This is used to improve app stability and performance.
If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials to manage your account and saved content.

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Usage and crash data collected through Firebase is retained according to Google's standard retention settings. You may delete your account at any time through the app's account settings.
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top accordingly.
